My drives are not showing up in Windows Explorer. Just like the title says, I can't see any of my drives in Windows Explorer and I can't figure out why. hard drives labels not showing in explorer Hi all, so I've been trying out build 7100 for a few days on my system, which includes quite a bunch of hard drives (usually around 8 of them) and ever since I got to run Windows 7 for the first time, most HDDs are listed as 'Local Disk' in its explorer, while they're obviously supposed to be.. | Hardware & Devices | |||
win 7 not showing 'network' attached drives in explorer Let me explain. These are usb drives connected on a network usb hub. No issues with hub, software, sharing on the hub over network. I have several server drives mapped to my Surface Pro 3 tablet, and from time to time they disappear from Windows Explorer and XYplorer (an Explorer replacement). They are still there and mapped, as Net Use shows them mapped properly. But to get them tho show up in either Explorer or XYplorer, I have to physically remap them (right click: Map Network Drive..) and when I do so they already show up with the proper drive connection but won't appear unless I finish the remapping. XYplorer has a tool to reconnect all network drives, but nothing happens there.
Dear Gareth4146,
generally when i find a problem similar, i reset my Explorer, via internet explorer, then i open my computer or press Start Button + E click on organize, folder and search options, go to view TAB, and reset folder options, if needed in general restore defaults. after that reboot the pc, and double check it.

IF all that is not working then check for MALEWARE or VIRUS on the PC hidding the drives, usually i use Norton Power Eraser, or combox fix, which you may download from the net for free.
Computer Not Seeing Network Drive
or you can do as my colleague does remove the Hard drive connect to a clean PC with an original (fully update) anti virus, and scan the HDD without opening it.
